2002 I.P.F. Women's Worlds in Riesa, Germany

The meet was intense as always.  I went 7 for 9, which is one of my better days.  I ended with am 1168 total on the 75kg class, placing me 5th for total, but the best was getting the gold medal in the deadlift.  I didn't even have a clue what Larry had put on the bar, I just knew I needed that last lift and ripped it off the floor like it was nothing at all.  The weight 479lbs.  I had more in me that day, but it was enough to guarantee me gold and won on body weight.  I didn't realize how I had placed until the lifting was done and we were in the warm-up area getting out of my gear.

The banquet after, as always was too much fun (and too much drinking).  

Larry, Jenn, Michelle, Daryl and I took an extra week after the completion to tour Germany by train.  It was a blast and we had many good laughs.  As much as I don't like beer, I have to admit, German beer is everything everybody says about it (and STRONG too).
